Renault Factory – North Africa’s biggest car plant

The Renault Group’s Tangier plant in Morocco commenced operations in 2012, with an investment of around one billion euros in its construction. Spanning 300 hectares, the campus features a 39,000sqm press shop, a 75,000sqm body assembly facility, a 38,000sqm paint shop, and a 90,000sqm final assembly building.

In collaboration with the Kingdom of Morocco, Renault, and Veolia Environnement, this industrial site has revolutionised the automotive industry by achieving zero carbon and zero industrial liquid emissions. With an annual production capacity of 340,000 vehicles and the ability to produce 1,150 cars each day, the plant has significantly impacted automotive manufacturing.

The project involved the design, supply, and installation of a 13,000-ton steel structure, 25,000sqm of façade, and 15,000sqm of roof.
