- The Story
As a crucial component of the King Abdulaziz Project for Riyadh Public Transport, the rapid transit system comprises six metro lines spanning a total length of 109 miles with 85 stations. This monumental undertaking, valued at $22.5 billion, is part of the Riyadh Public Transport Project (RPTP), positioned to become the largest public transport initiative. In a city where 6.5 million people currently reside, the global Riyadh Metro project involves the simultaneous construction of six lines, resembling an open-chest operation within a bustling urban environment.
Supply, manufacture, and assembly of façades for four car parks (approximately 100,000 sqm) supporting Line 3 of the Riyadh Metro. These car parks have a collective capacity of over 2,300 parking spaces. The project includes approximately 18,000 sqm of façades, intricately divided between perforated 3D aluminium panels, louvres (both vertical and horizontal), and curtain façade (interior and exterior).
- What we did
In our role, we serve as contract managers throughout the entire project life cycle under a Bespoke Contract. This encompasses the preparation and negotiation of Contract Addendums, the formulation of Extensions of Time leading to Loss and Expense awards, and the preparation of Damage Reports. Additionally, we draft contractual communications on behalf of subcontractor.
