- The Story
This project involved the construction of a new hospital building in the city centre to replace the existing facility, aiming to provide enhanced conditions for serving the Liverpool population. The Royal Liverpool University Hospital, with a history spanning 150 years, held a prominent position as Liverpool’s most important hospital. The project envisioned the establishment of 646 beds, 18 operating theatres, 40 critical care beds and 23 clinical units and wards.
- What we did
In this second phase of construction, focused on improving the building’s thermal performance and aligning with the then-current fire performance regulations in the United Kingdom, there was a task to supply and substitute 8,000sqm of initially installed composite panels with new aluminium panels.
This scope also included ceilings and windowsills. Furthermore, responsibilities encompassed supplying and applying thermal insulation in 1,200sqm of Shadow Boxes, re-evaluating the structure of 2,400 moorings in the model facade, supplying and installing 2,550 linear meters of fire-break barriers, and completing the installation of the canopy, which included the supply of 110sqm of glass.
Collaborating closely with the existing team, we actively contributed to the comprehensive contract management of the JCT Contract.
